About Abegweit Driving School
Abegweit Driving School Limited provides Road Safety Education Courses for people of all ages serving the Greater Charlottetown, Bluefield, Souris, Morell and Montague areas.
Currently owned and managed by David Anderson, Abegweit Driving School Limited has been in operation over 25 years, and currently employs a staff of four highly trained driving instructors and an office administrator.
Along with our regular programs, we provide training for people with special needs. For example, we work with victims of stroke and head injury to evaluate their skill and to help them determine if they should return to the driving task and if so, to what capacity.
We also provide fleet training for companies that wish to help reduce crash potential.

MISSION STATEMENT
Abegweit Driving School Limited chooses to operate on a basis of compassion and caring.
Our desire is to provide information and knowledge to our students through the use of classroom and in vehicle teaching methods.
We wish to provide our students with a knowledge based ability to make decisions that ensure their safety and the safety of all other road users.

NATIONAL CONFERENCE OF ROAD SAFETY EDUCATORS HELD IN FORTUNE

This year's national conference of the Road Safety Educators Association of Canada took place in Fortune thanks to the efforts of Louise MacDonald, president of Abegweit Driving School Ltd.
The national conference and workshop is an annual event that has not been held outside of Toronto for the past 12 years. MacDonald's efforts changed that this week when the group of educators, government officials and other experts in road safety made the trip to Fortune for a downhome conference experience Island style.
